Tribune launches photo contest!
Photographers, it's your time to send in your best work.
The Tribune is accepting entries for its annual photo contest.
A panel of Tribune photographers and editors will judge the contest, and the winners will be featured on the newspaper's My Montana, Outdoors and Class Act pages. Several of the photos also will appear in a book the Tribune is producing later this year.
The grand-prize winner receives $100 while the winner in each category gets $25.
The categories are: people and children; pets and livestock; wildlife; black-and-white; abstract; still life; and Montana's seasons. A youth category is limited to photographers 18 years old and younger.
All entries must have been shot in Montana in 2012 by a nonprofessional photographer.
Digital images are strongly encouraged. Send digital photos as attachments. Do not embed them in the email.
Send only one photo per email. Entries with more than one photo per email will not be considered.
Crop the photos to six inches on the longest side and save them as jpg files at 200 dots per square inch. Entrants may also send prints no larger than 10 by 14 inches. No photos will be returned. Slides will not be accepted.
